The live course gives you the frameworks, the core topics and the confidence to handle any interview. To go further, book a 1:1 mentoring session with a current medical student from Leicester. They sat the same interview recently, so they can run realistic mock stations in the Leicester format, use the same timings, and give you honest, personal feedback on exactly what to improve. Mentoring is new to Medibuddy, and we're adding new mentors and medical schools all the time. Sessions are booked separately from the live course and run on video at a time that suits you. You can start before the course, use them afterwards to practise what you've learned, or save them for a final mock just before your interview.
Leicester medicine interview questions and format
Leicester expects to interview home applicants face to face and international applicants online. The interview is made up of multiple mini interviews (MMIs) lasting about an hour, plus a numeracy test. Your interview invitation will confirm the format and timings for your interview.
Leicester’s stations cover areas such as communication, motivation, empathy and comprehension. Your preparation could cover your reasons for choosing medicine, how you communicate with and show compassion towards others, how you approach problems and what you have learnt from your experiences.

If you would like more individual support, book a mentoring session with a current Leicester medical student. Will I practise the exact questions Leicester will ask?
We use practice questions and scenarios to help you develop your approach. These draw on current published guidance and our tutors' experience, rather than a promise of the exact questions you will be asked.
Is this an official University of Leicester course?
No. This is an independent Medibuddy course, not run or endorsed by the University of Leicester.
Should I prepare before attending?
Think about why you want to study medicine, what you have learnt from your experiences and why you are applying to Leicester. Read the university's interview information too. You do not need to memorise answers.
What if I am nervous about practising in front of others?
That is a common reason to attend. You will practise with other applicants and supportive tutors, giving you a chance to work through the nerves before interview day.
Where does the course take place?
The whole course runs live online on Google Meet, so you can join from home. After booking you will get a Google Calendar invite with the Meet link and a confirmation email. Join with the email address you booked with.
Can I attend if I am under 18?
Yes. The course is designed for applicants to Leicester Medical School, including those under 18.
What is the cancellation policy?
You can cancel for a full refund with at least 48 hours' notice before the course starts. To cancel or ask a question, email info@medibuddy.co.uk.
What is the numeracy test in the Leicester medicine interview?
Leicester includes a numeracy test because basic numeracy is essential for patient safety and for the Prescribing Safety Assessment that all graduates must pass. It largely consists of mental arithmetic and does not require prior medical knowledge or learning formulae, and it has a pass mark.
How do I request reasonable adjustments for my Leicester interview?
If you are usually entitled to extra time or other adjustments in exams, Leicester asks you to tell the Medical School as soon as possible and send supporting information. The adjustments it offers are based on those available to students once on the course.
